“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Can we worship God any way we like? Will God accept any form of worship? Satan is very active within the church and has deceived many (if not the majority) of professing Christians into thinking that they can worship God any way they like. Now does this kind of thinking fall in line with what Christ Jesus said in John 4:23-24? No. Jesus said that the TRUE worshippers would worship in SPIRIT and TRUTH, and not only that, He also said we MUST worship this way. He did not say we could worship God any way we like. He said we MUST worship a CERTAIN way.
“In Luke 24:1-12, we can see that the disciples and women that followed Jesus were haunted by a lot of fears after the crucufication of Jesus Christ.
Just like us, even they would have faced a lot of Question marks in their life:
• Why did this happen?
• What is going to be next?
• How will we survive?
• Who would be there to guide us?
Three qualities of these women are noteworthy:
• "On the first day of the week, very early in the morning"
Inspite of all these fears, their love for Jesus led them to the tomb of Jesus.Their circumstances like darkness or time of the day couldn't hold them back from their love towards God.They did not bother about what others might think about them
Don't refrain from sharing the gospel thinking what others might think about you!Be bold for Christ at all times!
• "Women took the spices they had prepared"
Whatever they could offer, they offered the best to God.
Give your best to God(be it your talents, time, etc) !
• "Went to the tomb"
Take a step forward for Christ. In all that you do, seek God's will. He knows the beginning and the end and He knows what's best in our lives! Trust in Him !
When they did the above three things, one of their greatest fear which can be seen in Mark 16:3( "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?") was turned into a miracle( "They found the stone rolled away")!
But in Luke 24:3, we can infer that they could see only an "empty" tomb! Again confusion struck them. Just like us-even they faced emptiness! But relax and submit everything to God's hands, you would be getting the best at the end. Sometimes, it would be as though all doors have been shut all at once; those whom you thought would be there with you forever , might abandon you; things wouldn't go the way you wanted! At those instances, you would be able to experience God's comforting hands in your life.
But in Luke 24:6-7, they heard good news that their Jesus had risen from the dead!
In verse 8, we can see that they remembered his words! Confusions hits on us mainly because we tend to forget God's promises.
So, Stand firm for God; Do His will ; Put a step forward for Christ ; Surrender yourself to God completely ! He is mighty to change all your ?(Question marks) into ! (Exclaimation marks).
